Find Your Path to True Health

🌿 The Story of True Health (Part I)

From Personal Struggles to a New Approach to Wellness

👋 A Personal Health Awakening

My name is Matt Moody, and my journey into wellness didn’t start in a textbook—it started with personal challenges.

From my late teens into my early thirties, I experienced recurring kidney stone episodes. Each one was painful, disruptive, and frustrating.

Like many people navigating ongoing health challenges, I followed conventional care approaches and recommendations aimed at managing symptoms and reducing recurrence risk.

While those approaches can play an important role, I found myself asking a deeper question:

👉 Why was this happening in the first place?

That question led me into researching:

💧 Hydration strategies
🥗 Nutrition and dietary patterns
⚖️ Lifestyle habits that influence overall wellness

Over time, I began making consistent changes in these areas.

And while every individual’s experience is different, I personally noticed meaningful improvements.

More importantly, this journey sparked something bigger:

👉 A desire to understand how the body works—and how to better support it.

🔍 A Shift Toward Foundational Wellness

Through this experience, I became increasingly interested in supporting the body’s natural processes, rather than only reacting to symptoms.

This perspective—often referred to as a foundational or functional wellness approach—focuses on:

🥗 Nutrition and hydration
😴 Sleep and recovery
🧠 Stress management
🏃 Movement and activity
🌿 Foundational nutrient support

⚠️ Important Note:
These approaches are not a replacement for medical care, but may complement a broader wellness plan when used appropriately.

This shift in thinking became the foundation for what would later become True Health.

💙 Loss, Purpose, and a Deeper Mission

In 2021, my perspective on health changed again—this time through personal loss.

A close family member was diagnosed with an aggressive illness. During that time, I spent countless hours learning from a wide range of perspectives—both conventional and integrative.

I explored:

📚 Nutrition research
🌿 Lifestyle strategies
🔬 Emerging areas of wellness science

While nothing could change the outcome, the experience left a lasting impact.

It reinforced something many people feel:

👉 People want more education, more options, and more support when navigating complex health situations.

That realization deepened my commitment to building something that could help others feel more informed and empowered.

🌎 Navigating Health in a Changing World

In recent years, conversations around wellness have evolved.

Many people are now exploring ways to support:

🛡️ Immune system function
⚡ Energy and recovery
🔥 Healthy inflammatory balance
🧠 Stress resilience

This has led to increased interest in:

🌿 Nutrients and supplementation
⚙️ Enzymes and metabolic support
🏃 Lifestyle and recovery practices

At the same time, it’s important to approach health information thoughtfully.

👉 Not all claims are supported by strong evidence
👉 Individual needs vary
👉 Professional guidance matters

🧬 The Foundations of Health Framework

Through years of research and personal experience, I developed a framework called:

👉 The Foundations of Health

This approach focuses on supporting the body through four key pillars:

🥗 1. Foundational Nutrition

🥦 Whole, minimally processed foods
⚖️ Balanced macronutrients
💧 Adequate hydration
🚫 Reducing excess sugar and highly processed oils

💊 2. Key Nutrients

🔬 Vitamins and minerals that support normal body function
🛡️ Antioxidants to help manage oxidative stress
⚡ Amino acids and cofactors involved in cellular energy

🏃 3. Daily Lifestyle Habits

🚶 Consistent movement (walking, light exercise)
☀️ Sunlight exposure for circadian rhythm support
🧘 Stress management practices
😴 Quality sleep

🌿 4. Recovery & Wellness Modalities

🔥 Sauna and heat exposure
🌬️ Breathwork and oxygen-focused practices
💡 Light-based wellness tools
🛠️ Other recovery strategies that support relaxation and balance

These strategies are widely discussed in the wellness space and may support overall well-being when used appropriately.

💡 A Personal Reminder

One of the most meaningful parts of my journey has been supporting family members as they explored wellness strategies.

And one thing became very clear:

👉 Every person’s experience is different.

The body is:

🔄 Dynamic
⚙️ Adaptive
🌿 Responsive to the environment we create

Health is rarely about one single solution.

👉 It’s about consistent, supportive inputs over time.

🌱 What True Health Stands For Today

True Health was built on a simple idea:

👉 Help people better understand and support their health—starting with the foundation.

Today, we focus on:

📚 Education around nutrition and lifestyle
🧭 Personalized wellness strategies
💊 Foundational supplementation (when appropriate)
🛠️ Supportive recovery and performance tools

Our goal is not to replace medical care, but to help individuals become:

✔️ More informed
✔️ More proactive
✔️ More engaged in their own wellness journey

🚀 Your Path to True Health

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

👉 Health is not just about avoiding challenges—
👉 It’s about building resilience, energy, and long-term vitality.

And that starts with the basics.

Small, consistent changes in how you:

🥗 Eat
🏃 Move
😴 Recover
🌿 Live

…can create meaningful impact over time.

📣 Final Thought

You don’t need a perfect plan.

👉 You need a strong foundation.
